Licensed NYC Dispensaries: Trust & Safety
Before you buy, verify the dispensary is licensed by the New York State Office of Cannabis Management (OCM). Licensed dispensaries follow strict testing and safety rules, so you know what you're getting.
- Check the license – Look for the OCM license number on the dispensary's website or in-store. You can verify it on the OCM's public list.
- Look for lab-tested products – All legal cannabis in NY is tested for potency and contaminants. Ask to see the lab report if it's not displayed.
- Confirm age requirements – You must be 21 or older with a valid ID to purchase recreational cannabis.
- Read reviews – See what other customers say about product quality, staff knowledge, and service. Check platforms like Google or Leafly.
- Trust your instincts – If a dispensary seems unprofessional or doesn't answer questions, consider another option.
